Votes are private by default, but a student representative can request a public vote which will then need a 2/3 vote in the class to pass. If the class rejects a public vote, the student representatives can not request another public vote for that same law. If the class approves a public vote, the vote must be conducted so that every voter can see what every other voter is voting for.
